About Support Skills Hub

Support Skills Hub is an inclusive learning and resource space built for the real world of disability support, where clarity, confidence, and compassion matter most. Created by experienced professionals with both lived and professional expertise, the Hub exists to support two key groups in the NDIS community:

Self-managed participants, who want to better understand their funding, rights, and options.

Independent support workers, who want to deepen their skills and provide exceptional, ethical care.

In the often complex and ever-evolving world of the NDIS, Support Skills Hub offers something

unique: practical, easy-to-understand guidance designed to build capability, not just compliance.

From micro-courses to downloadable tools and mini-guides, every resource is crafted to be actionable, respectful, and grounded in person-centred practice. Whether you're learning how to navigate plan management, build daily living skills, or communicate more effectively, Support Skills Hub provides support you can trust. For participants, it’s a place to better understand self-management, learning about funding options, and how to confidently direct their own supports. For support workers, it offers opportunities to deepen professional skills, gain practical knowledge, and strengthen their ability to provide ethical, respectful care. Created by people with lived and professional experience in the sector, Support Skills Hub is more than just a resource it’s a community.

What sets the Hub apart is the team behind it. Led by founder Susan, an experienced trainer and NDIS participant herself, the Hub draws on over 30 years of sector knowledge across aged care, disability, and mental health. Susan is backed by a team of passionate professionals with deep experience in complex care, systems navigation, and frontline support. Together, they’re committed to helping people grow, not just in skill, but in confidence and connection.

At Support Skills Hub, learning is:

Accessible – Designed for busy lives and real-world application

Respectful – Grounded in empathy, ethics, and lived experience

Empowering – Focused on skill-building, independence, and better outcomes for all

Support Skills Hub is a place where learning is accessible, growth is encouraged, and every individual is supported to thrive in their role. Whether you're just getting started or want to sharpen your approach, we are here to walk alongside you, one skill, one step, at a time. Together, we’re building a stronger, more informed NDIS community one skill, one story, and one connection at a time.
